The two attended Prince Chen when he was re-

ceived by the King before the Levée on June 2nd, and,

I believe, stayed with the Prince until the Levée

was over.

The Prince only is mentioned as being received.

Sir C. Liang Cheng went with him to interpret, but

this fact is not mentioned in the account of the

ceremony, and, in any case, he was senior over here

to Wang Ta Hieh.

the latter had no case.

I think that it will be seen that

Mr. Wang Peh Tung was one of the numerous suite

not put down in the List of official guests, owing

to its length.
